KELPIE cottage

Crafts;   

    Every Tuesday throughout the summer we hold a craft market in Glendale community hall, everything is hand made locally, ranging from wall hangings, knitting ,covered books, plastic canvas, cross stitch, tunision crochet, soft toys, pressed flowers,cards, and candles, I enjoy making and selling these things, also for sale are jewellry, quilting, jams photos and home made teas, something for everyone. If you would like to learn any of these crafts, please let me know and I can fit it into your holiday. I do alot of the above crafts and have a well equipped workshop on the premises.I have large established gardens, and throughout the summer months press a large selection of pressed flowers, if the weather is good you can press some too and hopefully take some home to continue making cards or perhaps you would like to make a scrap book of your holiday and can use some of the pressed flowers to decorate your pages,

Moorings

If you  would like to bring your own boat up on holiday, then this is an ideal location to do just that. plenty of parking at the cottage and only 5 minutes away from Poolteal jetty, with easy launching. Your only 18 miles from the outer isles or cruise down the minch and enjoy the whales, basking sharks and dolphins, frequent visitors in the summertime The fishing around this area is second to none,enjoy some freshly caught pollock for dinner or just take in the breath taking scenery

Breathtaking Walks 

We are surrounded by breath taking scenery, and lovely walks,I have supplied a selection of maps and books of walks on Skye, you never need leave Waterstein if you don't want too. Cliff top walks, secluded beeches or a stroll around the loch,you are spoilt for choice.

Fishing.

Located close to some of the best sea angling on Skye we can guide you to the best locations., offer all the equipment and tuition if you have not fished before. Boat angling trips can also be arranged. Nothing can compare to line caught fish cooked fresh the same day.

Basking shark fin

can be seen half a mile from the shore, they will swim within a metre from the rocks, some of them can be 30' long, 

Gardens.

    Our garden is well maintained and well known on the island for its beauty, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed
